I. General
XGN15-12 box-type fixed metal-enclosed switchgear (refer to “ring main unit”) applies to power distribution systems of industrial and mining enterprises, residence communities, high-rise buildings, etc. It is used as an indoor AC three-phase 50 Hz, 12 kV ring network power supply unit, and terminal distribution equipment. It can disconnect or close the rated load current and no-load current of a transformer and can break or close the capacitance current of overhead lines, cable lines, or capacitor banks at a certain distance. The load switch-fuse combined electrical cabinet can cut off the rated short-circuit current at one time. The ring main unit is equipped with manual and electric spring mechanisms to operate the load switch, and the earthing switch and disconnector are equipped with manual operating mechanisms. The design performance of the product conforms to the standard of GB/T 3906 Alternating-Current Metal-Enclosed Switchgear and Controlgear for Rated Voltages Above 3.6 kV and up to and Including 40.5 kV, and meets the “five-prevention” requirements of high-voltage apparatus.
II. Structural Features
The enclosure of the XGN15-12 ring network switch cabinet is made of an aluminum-coated zinc plate, galvanized plate, or cold-rolled plate formed by numerical control machining, and the panel is treated by plastic spraying.
The switch cabinet consists of four mutually isolated intervals: the busbar room, the switchgear body, the cable room, the operating mechanism, and the instrument room.
The entire cabinet adopts air insulation and establishes a pressure relief channel behind the cabinet. The main switches are mainly FLN36 type SF6 load switch, and FZN25 type vacuum load switch, but may also be equipped with other fixed vacuum circuit breakers of VS1 and VD4 of ABB Company.
